Desert Safari in the Eastern Desert of Hurghada, Red Sea
The tour begins either at 7:00 AM or 12:00 PM. We offer both a morning and an afternoon program, tailored to your preferences.
Tour Start:
We pick you up directly from your hotel in a jeep and take you to the safari station, specifically designed for quad biking, motorcycles, and off-road vehicles. Upon arrival, you will be greeted by your German-speaking guide, who will explain the facilities, including toilets, cafeteria, and other important areas. Afterward, you can take a short break before the adventure begins.
Tour Preparation:
Your guide will take you to the quad station and give you a detailed explanation on how to use the vehicles. This includes safety instructions and demonstrations on how to use the brakes, gears, and helmets. The guide will also help you tie a scarf for sun protection and put on a face mask for the ride.
Next, we prepare the quads and have a short test ride to ensure you feel comfortable with the vehicle. Don’t worry – all quads are fully automatic, require no prior driving experience, and no driver’s license. All you need to do is press the gas pedal, and to stop, simply use the brake.
The Adventure:
The ride will take you about 20 km out and 20 km back to a Bedouin village in the western desert. Along the way, you will enjoy stunning views of the desert landscape: sand dunes, desert terrain, and the Red Sea mountain range, rich in natural resources such as phosphate, manganese, basalt, and red and black granite.
In the Bedouin Village:
Upon arrival at the Bedouin village, we take a short break to enjoy a cup of traditional Bedouin tea. This black tea, mixed with herbs, calms the nerves and cools the body from the desert heat. During this time, your German-speaking guide will provide fascinating insights into Bedouin culture, history, and origins. You’ll learn about the number of tribes, their way of life, and how they survive in the desert.
Afterward, we take a tour of the Bedouin village where you’ll see how the locals cook, bake traditional Bedouin bread, and you can taste the freshly baked bread. You’ll also have the opportunity to ride a camel and capture unforgettable photos.
Return Trip:
We put on our helmets, tie our scarves, and wear our protective glasses before embarking on the thrilling return ride to the safari station – another 20 km through the breathtaking desert.
Upon arrival at the station, we take a short break. The guide will organize your transfer back to your hotel and say goodbye, wishing you well. You’ll return with wonderful memories of a unique adventure.
