Private City Tour in Hurghada: A Real Experience in the Heart of the City

At 2:00 PM or 10:00 AM (depending on your preference), a guide from Luxreisen will arrive with an air-conditioned vehicle to start your exciting exploration of the suburbs of Hurghada. This private city tour offers you the chance to experience the real life of the locals, away from the tourist areas and hotel crowds. Your guide will provide in-depth information about the city, its history, and its residents.

First Stop: Highest Point in Hurghada – "Felfela"

Our thrilling journey begins at the highest point in Hurghada, "Felfela", one of the best panoramic views in the city. From here, you can enjoy a breathtaking view of the entire city. Your guide will explain the landmarks you can see from this point, before taking you for a closer visit to these locations.

Second Stop: The Old Town – "El-Dahar"

Next, we continue to the old town of Hurghada, "El-Dahar", a traditional residential area mostly inhabited by the residents of the Red Sea and their families. This area is rarely crowded with tourists. Here, you will find the government offices and the largest central vegetable market in Hurghada, which receives fresh products daily from Upper Egypt. At this market, you will see numerous fruit and vegetable stalls.

Third Stop: Visit to the Coptic Church

We will then visit the oldest Coptic church in Hurghada, "St. Anba Shenouda Church" in El-Dahar. Your guide will provide a comprehensive explanation of the history and architecture of this church.

Fourth Stop: New Marina of Hurghada

We continue south to visit the New Marina of Hurghada, a luxurious harbor with numerous private yachts and boats for excursions such as diving and snorkeling. In the marina, you will also find many restaurants and cafés overlooking the sea.

Fifth Stop: Fish Market and the Great Harbor Mosque

After leaving the marina, we reach the center of Hurghada, where the Fish Market (formerly the "Fishermen’s Village") is located. We will visit the market and the adjacent Great Harbor Mosque. Your guide will take you inside the mosque and explain its history and design. Women will be shown where to borrow traditional clothing (headscarves and robes) to enter the mosque.

Sixth Stop: Shipbuilding and Repair Yard

Finally, we visit a shipyard for traditional shipbuilding and repairs, where you can learn about this craft tradition in Hurghada.

During this tour, you are allowed to take photos at the mosque, the market, and all other visited locations. At the end of the day, your guide will return you to your hotel, filled with beautiful memories of this unique experience.
